What is River Markets?

The published live venue list includes Kalshi, Polymarket, Polymarket US and Crypto.com; Novig is listed as in integration. Routing compares eligible matched contracts across connected venues rather than treating every market as interchangeable.

The FAQ says funds remain in customer-controlled accounts at the connected venues. Prime-brokerage branding alone does not establish included margin, custody or cross-venue netting; those require separate discussion. Provider case-study improvements are not a fixed execution entitlement.

Who it is for

  • Professional desks managing many simultaneous orders.
  • Developers building systematic execution.
  • Teams separating strategy books and performance.

Features and coverage

  • Multi-book terminal and OMS

Place, modify and cancel orders from several books, and track orders, fills, positions and PnL in a unified blotter.

  • Server-side complex orders

River manages Icebergs, Pegs and take-profit/stop-loss structures as parent/child workflows. Cancelling the parent unwinds its child-order workflow.

  • Eligible-contract routing

Compare matched contracts across connected venues before evaluating actual all-in execution.

  • Subaccounts and standard identifiers

Separate strategy books and attribute results, using river_ids to reduce repeated venue-ticker mapping.

  • Typed Python clients

The Python SDK offers typed synchronous and asynchronous clients.

  • Locally signed transport

REST requests and WebSocket handshakes use local Ed25519 signatures.

Getting started

Before you start: Novig is in integration, not listed live.

  1. Read the quickstart and security documentation.
  2. Confirm supported venue accounts and required permissions, then arrange access for the desk.
  3. Configure signing credentials and subaccounts.
  4. Test order creation, replacement and cancellation before relying on the workflow.
  5. Monitor fills and reconcile connected venue balances.

Access requires supported venue accounts and commercial arrangements; the FAQ says funds remain in customer-controlled venue accounts.

Our take on River Markets

The unified order manager, signed transport and explicit complex-order controls form a concrete professional integration offering. Commercial terms and venue rollout need checking, and algorithm descriptions or case studies should not be read as execution benchmarks.
