polyDisplay: keep a public wallet and reference charts on a local screen

polyDisplay is a self-hosted monitoring dashboard for a public Polymarket address. A Go service fetches upstream data and serves a cached browser view; the interface monitors positions rather than placing orders.

Screenshots and interface

What is polyDisplay?

The layout puts wallet positions, recent activity and P&L next to configurable crypto charts. Gamma end times and Up/Down reference information add contract context. Run the service on a host and open its LAN address from a browser, iPad or Android tablet; the tablet is the display, not a replacement for the service.

The datasets refresh on different polling schedules. Daily P&L uses sample-based upstream windows rather than a simple midnight reset, so it should be read with that timing in mind. Local API access also needs configuration: without a PIN it is open, and the Docker example requires the PIN to be set explicitly.

Who it is for

  • Keeping a wallet overview visible on a spare tablet.
  • Technical users preferring a locally hosted dashboard.
  • Monitoring positions beside reference crypto prices.

Features and coverage

  • Portfolio column

Display positions and recent activity for the configured public wallet.

  • P&L windows

See daily change, a 30-day sparkline and longer reporting windows.

  • Configurable charts

Choose the crypto assets displayed alongside the portfolio.

  • Price sources

Use Kraken for runtime prices with Coinbase fallback; CoinGecko supports asset search.

  • Contract context

Read Gamma market end times and relevant Up/Down reference data.

  • Tablet view

Choose light or dark mode and add a home-screen shortcut.

  • API access controls

Configure the PIN and token-based access for configuration and state endpoints.

Workflows with polyDisplay

Create a persistent display

Start the service on a home machine, configure the public wallet and asset watchlist, and open the page on a tablet on the same network.

Read a position in context

Compare the wallet entry, contract end time and corresponding crypto chart in the same interface.

Change the tracked setup

Update wallet and candle settings in the dashboard and maintain assets through its search and configuration controls. Check saved asset settings when an environment list does not take effect.

Pricing and total cost

No hosted subscription is listed. The source uses PolyForm Shield 1.0.0, permitting the documented internal use while restricting competing products. Hosting is your own cost; this is not an unrestricted reuse license.

Getting started

Before you start: Positions, activity and P&L update on different schedules.

  1. Choose the supported local installer, Go runtime or Docker setup.
  2. Set the public Polymarket address and asset list.
  3. Configure POLYDISPLAY_PIN and the token secret.
  4. Start the service and open its LAN address.
  5. Optionally add the page to a tablet’s home screen.

Without a PIN, the API is open. Set the PIN explicitly when using the Docker example.

What to check

  • Positions, activity and P&L update on different schedules.
  • Daily P&L follows upstream sampling windows rather than a simple midnight boundary.
  • Saved dashboard asset settings can override the environment asset list.
  • The dashboard monitors public data and does not provide an order terminal.
  • PolyForm Shield limits reuse in competing products.

Our take on polyDisplay

Keeping public-wallet activity beside reference charts is a useful local monitoring task, with no order execution added. Deployment still requires deliberate PIN configuration and an understanding of the different refresh and P&L windows. Reuse also needs a licence check: PolyForm Shield permits the documented internal use while restricting competing products.

Frequently asked questions about polyDisplay

Does the display need a private wallet key?

The portfolio view uses a public address. It is a monitoring interface, not an order-signing workflow.

Can the tablet run everything by itself?

A host runs the Go service, while the tablet displays its browser page.

Which services provide the charts?

Kraken supplies runtime data with Coinbase fallback. CoinGecko is used for asset search.

Why do panels update at different times?

Each upstream dataset has its own polling schedule; the displayed values do not all refresh together.
