Trueo: binary outcomes denominated in yield-bearing TYD

Trueo is its own outcome-market protocol. Users trade YES/NO tokens denominated in TYD, propose questions and participate in the separate resolution process through a web interface and on-chain contracts.

What is Trueo?

A winning outcome token redeems for 1 TYD. TYD is an ERC-4626 vault token backed by USDC and powered by Yearn; its value and redemption depend on that vault and its redemption path. This is different from an unconditional bank-dollar balance.

The documentation says market criteria and approved data sources are committed on-chain at launch. Creating a proposal, trading a token and participating as an oracle actor are distinct actions. Displayed APY is variable and does not determine the outcome token’s payoff.

Who it is for

  • Users evaluating yield-bearing prediction collateral.
  • Creators refining and proposing market questions.
  • Researchers studying optimistic-oracle settlement.

Features and coverage

  • Binary tokens and execution

Trade YES and NO outcomes through the documented custom Uniswap v4 hook.

  • TYD collateral and redemption

Use yield-bearing TYD collateral; a winning token redeems for 1 TYD rather than an unconditional cash-dollar balance.

  • Market proposals

Refine a question, time window and source and build support for listing.

  • Committed resolution criteria

Inspect the resolution text and approved source set committed on-chain at market launch.

  • Oracle process and disputes

Follow attesters, bonds and the proposed result, with a documented challenge path for contested outcomes.

  • Activity and bookmarks

Organize market research through the public activity and bookmarking interface.

Workflows with Trueo

Compare collateral economics

Understand TYD’s vault and redemption mechanics before comparing its outcome quote with a cash-dollar contract.

Review a proposal

Make the question, time window and approved data source specific before seeking listing support.

Follow settlement

Inspect the proposed oracle result and dispute process before redeeming a winning token.

Pricing and total cost

The introduction and trading documentation do not publish a single numeric fee schedule for every action. Inspect the swap quote and separate proposal, oracle and vault terms. TYD yield is variable, not a fixed cash payout rate.

Getting started

Before you start: TYD depends on its Yearn-powered USDC vault and redemption path.

  1. Read the Trading documentation and TYD guide.
  2. Review the chosen market’s committed criteria.
  3. Connect using the supported wallet flow and inspect required collateral and final swap quote.
  4. Monitor the market, proposed oracle result and any dispute process.
  5. Redeem the winning token through the documented workflow.

A winning outcome token redeems for 1 TYD, whose vault and redemption mechanics differ from a fixed bank-dollar balance.

Our take on Trueo

The token, proposal and oracle mechanics make the protocol design inspectable. TYD’s vault dependency and variable yield differ materially from cash-dollar contracts, so collateral redemption and outcome settlement need separate assessment.
