Market discovery for a simulated portfolio.

## What is PaperPoly?

A new virtual portfolio starts with $1,000. The product states that prices refresh every 30 seconds and that simulated fills consider bid and ask rather than only a midpoint. This supports a more structured practice routine, but modeled fills and the refresh interval still differ from live order-book execution.

Review PnL, ROI, win rate and open-position value alongside the number of resolved bets behind each rate. A journal retains the reasoning for a position, while MCP lets an assistant search, place paper bets and retrieve statistics. Graduate certification uses the provider’s resolved-bet, duration and win-rate/ROI requirements; it is not an accredited qualification.

### Who it is for

- Beginners learning odds and position accounting.
- Users keeping a journal of paper-trading theses.
- Developers testing assistants against a simulated portfolio.

## Market participation workflows

### Practice a trading thesis

Make each paper position a record of a decision: choose the question, write why you would take that side and set its virtual size. Return after resolution to review that rationale against the result.

### Review category results

Compare subjects and inspect how many resolved bets support each performance rate.

### Test an assistant workflow

Connect the account’s MCP workflow and inspect every paper position created by the assistant.

## Pricing and total cost

The reviewed simulator is presented as free. Pro is marked coming soon and should not be treated as an available tier.

## Access and participation

1. Browse markets, then create an account for a virtual portfolio.
2. Open a paper position with the starting balance and add a journal entry.
3. Review open and resolved positions; connect MCP only if using an assistant.

## Useful links

### What to check

- Paper positions and profits are simulated, not live executions.
- The provider’s certificate records its own thresholds and is not an accredited qualification.
- The provider uses a 40% win-rate threshold for Graduate certification. That percentage alone cannot establish trading skill: returns also depend on the prices paid for positions.
- Thirty-second data refreshes and modeled fills differ from live order-book execution.

### Our take on PaperPoly

Virtual capital, journaling and bid/ask-aware modeling form a coherent practice workflow. The 30-second refresh and simulated fills limit execution realism, and the announced Pro tier remains future functionality.
