## Guides

- [Polymarket API key and authentication](<https://predictiontoolkit.com/guides/polymarket-api-key/>)

Find out when public data needs no key and how authentication works for private CLOB requests.

- [Polymarket API endpoints: Gamma, CLOB and Data](<https://predictiontoolkit.com/guides/polymarket-api-endpoints/>)

Match your task to Gamma, CLOB or Data API, and distinguish market IDs, outcome-token IDs and wallet identifiers.

- [What is Polymarket?](<https://predictiontoolkit.com/guides/how-polymarket-works/>)

Understand Polymarket outcome shares, pUSD, bids and asks, fees and settlement rules. Follow a simple payout example before choosing research or trading tools.

- [Kalshi API access](<https://predictiontoolkit.com/guides/kalshi-api/>)

Choose Kalshi public REST data, authenticated WebSocket streams or account operations. Understand API keys, demo endpoints, rate limits and local versus hosted SDKs.

Begin with the data or action your application needs. The authentication guide separates public reads from private trading credentials; the endpoint guide explains which service owns each dataset and identifier.

## Choose the route before adding credentials

Check whether the request is read-only, which host documents it and which identifier it expects. Keep credentials scoped to the service that needs them. A documentation example describes an interface; it does not establish that an authenticated call or signed order was tested here.
